Plain English summary
We collect your name, email, address, and payment info to book and complete your bin clean. We don't sell it, don't use it for ads, and you can ask us to delete it anytime.
1. Who we are
FreshBin Co. is a residential bin cleaning service operating in Coquitlam, BC and the surrounding Tri-Cities area, operated by Marcos Franco. We are committed to protecting the personal information of our customers under British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), which applies to our payment processing activities.
2. Information we collect
When you book a service or contact us, we may collect:
- Full name
- Email address
- Service address (home or property address)
- Phone number
- Payment information (processed securely through Stripe — we never store card numbers)
- Service history and booking preferences
- Any additional details you provide in the booking form or by email
3. Why we collect it
We use your personal information to confirm and fulfill your bin cleaning service, send appointment reminders and day-before notifications, generate and send invoices after service is completed, process payment for services rendered, and respond to your questions or rescheduling requests.
Consent: By booking a service with FreshBin Co., you consent to the collection and use of your personal information for service delivery purposes as described in this policy. We do not use your information for marketing unless you explicitly opt in. You can unsubscribe from any marketing email at any time by clicking "unsubscribe" in any email we send, or by contacting us directly.

To provide our service, we share limited personal information with the following platforms. We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.

5. How we protect your information
We store your information using industry-standard secure services and limit access to authorized personnel only. Payment information is processed exclusively through Stripe and is never stored on our servers or devices.
6. Data retention
We keep your booking and contact information for up to three (3) years to manage your service history and comply with financial record-keeping requirements. You may request deletion at any time — see Section 7.
7. Cookies
Our website is hosted on Squarespace, which places cookies on your device for the following purposes:
- Essential cookies — required for the site to function (e.g., booking form state)
- Analytics cookies — anonymous usage data to understand how visitors use the site
We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels. You can manage or block cookies through your browser settings.
8. Your rights
Under BC PIPA and PIPEDA, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request corrections to inaccurate or incomplete information
- Withdraw consent for non-essential uses at any time
- Request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements
